Lavender is for sale primarily because we are making some very hard cuts in an effort to align the goats in our barn with our herd goals. We are decreasing number fairly dramatically in an effort to build the style of goat we like the best, which means getting down to just one or two in each age category. Lavender is a delight. She took to milking like it was meant to be her job and has large teats that are so easy to hand milk. She wants to be with her people and loves a good scratch, but equally gets along well with her herd mates. She has freshened once with a very decent sized udder for a small, young first freshener. Her mother has an abundance of milk, as does her sire’s udder, so she should make an exceptional milker. Not likely a candidate to do well in the show ring, but would probably be a game participant.
